Top 10 Peppermint Dessert Recipes + Gift Tags {freebie!}

Hi! My name is Kim Byers and I’m the Owner and Creative Director of The Celebration Shoppe.  Today I’m featuring my Top 10 Peppermint Dessert recipes plus free recipe card and gift tags!  I just love a freebie, don’t you?

I’m just thrilled to be a guest blogger for Laurie today. When I came on the scene in 2008 she was one of my “must reads.” So when she asked if I was interested in sharing my “top 10” for the holiday season, it was a resounding “yes” and I knew immediately what my topic would be.

This holiday season we created two new collections, BELIEVE and Mod Candy Cane. Since I’ll personally be using Mod Candy Cane for my Christmas cookie decorating party with the kiddos this year I researched well beyond the few desserts we created for the photo shoot styling. Here are a few of my absolute favorites:

Dessert Recipes

#1. Peppermint Ice Cream BonBons, Sunset magazine; #2. Peppermint Fudge Paris-Brest, Better Homes and Gardens, slide 16

#3. Peppermint Pinwheel Cookies, Southern Living, slide five; #4. Little Peppermint “No-Bake” Cakes, Better Homes and Gardens, slide eight; #5. Candy Cane Marshmallows, Martha Stewart (dairy-free since I have a little one with severe food allergies!)

#6. Peppermint House, Martha Stewart, slide six; #7. No-bake Peppermint Place, Martha Stewart, slide eight (fabulous for kid cookie decorating parties; we’ll be making these at mine); #8. Christmas Candy Carolers, Martha Stewart, slide fifteen (you can’t have a house without some people, especially these cuties!)

#9. Peppermint Cookie Bark, The Celebration Shoppe; #10. Peppermint Cupcakes, The Celebration Shoppe (Semi-homemade version: Store bought cupcakes, Pillsbury Cream Cheese icing (dairy free!), crushed candy canes)

Freebie ~ Recipe Card & Gift Tag

And now that I’ve shared my favorite sweets, ones that would be great for gifting, I thought I would share a way for you to embellish the packaging! Download my snowflake tags, “Have a sweet day” tags, Peppermint Cookie Bark recipe card and blank recipe cards now! (I suggest a 2.5″ circle punch for the round tags, but scissors can do the trick.) Visit my blog and sign up to “receive special offers” and sign up to “receive special offers” at the top of the page, like us on like us on facebook and follow me on twitter to make sure you don’t miss out on future freebies!

Thanks so much for having me Laurie and Merry Christmas everyone! As always, I hope you’re inspired!
