1. Pick The Correct Facial Cleanser
Not all facial cleansers work for all skin types; its important that you pick one that works for your skin.
Women with sensitive skin should look for cleansers that are fragrance free and hypoallergenic. Those with oily skin need to use a cleanser that contains salicylic acid, to help fight breakouts.
2. Washing Your Face The Right Way
When washing your face, use warm water if the water is too hot, you risk washing away too much oil and drying out your skin. Then, massage your cleanser onto the skin, making sure that you get all the way to the hairline as well as behind and under the jaw.
Dont rush, and dont scrub too hard. Take your time to make sure youve got your whole face clean, then rinse off and pat dry.
3. Do Not Over-Wash Your Face
Something you probably didnt know its only really necessary to cleanse your face once daily. Of course, you should wash it in the evening to remove all the make-up and dirt, as stated before.
Why only once a day? Over-cleaning leads to dryness; dry skin compensates by producing more oil, and that leads to breakouts. However, you may want to use a light cleansing towelette in the morning to freshen up, especially if you tend to sweat at night.
