Make your own Pillowcase Tutorial

Fun Children’s Pillowcases tutorial!

Who doesn’t like a fun, cozy pillow case?
Toddlers, children and even adults will love these.

You Will Need...

  • Cotton fabric of your choice
  • Minky Chenille, or Flannel for the reverse (or you can make it all one fabric, if you don't want it to be reversible)
  • You need:
  • 27 inches (3/4 yard) for the main fabric
  • 9 inches (1/4 yard) for the cuff

  • Step 1

    I cut the fabric (27 inch piece, and a 9inch piece for the cuff. Place the main fabric right side up then place the contrasting fabric face down (right sides together) on top of the main fabric. Line the fabrics up and pin into place for sewing.
  • Step 2

    Open cuff and roll main part of pillow up to the cuff leaving an inch or so.
  • Step 3

    Fold the cuff area around the body of the pillow (right sides together). Line the fabric edges up and pin into place. Sew 1/4″ seam along pinned side.
  • Step 4

    Take the inside body of the pillow and pull out. You might need to work it out a little, the cuff will flip right side out. Fold the case right sides together and pin into place. Sew a 1/4″ seam
  • Step 5

    Turn right side out, iron it flat (optional) THATS IT! pretty easy dontcha think?
