Sweet And Scrumptious Apple Porridge

This is another twist on one of our favourite breakfasts. There are lots of ways you can liven up a bowl of porridge as it’s one of the most versatile dishes. We’re spoilt for choice with healthy, nutritious options.

You Will Need...

  • 1 cup/80g steel–cut oats
  • 1 apple
  • 4 cups/960ml almond milk
  • 2 tbsp. honey
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp. cinnamon
  • Optional toppings: walnuts, blackberries, blueberries, pumpkin seeds, bananas, apple

  • Step 1

    1. Grate the apple. 2. Add the porridge oats, grated apple, vanilla extract, cinnamon and milk to the slow cooker. Stir and leave on a low heat for 7 hours. 3. Remove and put into bowls, then decorate with your choice of toppings and honey to sweeten.
