Here’s a novel twist on an age-old craft. Tie-dye soap is relatively cheap and simple to make, and the end result is a unique and thoughtful gift for friends, relatives, and even your kids’ teachers. Try it out for yourself!
Step 1Cut the soap base into small chunks and place the chunks in a microwave-safe container.
Step 2Heat for approx. 30 seconds. Stir the soap and continue to microwave for short increments until it’s completely melted
Step 3Mix in a few drops of essential oil (such as rose or lavender oil)
Step 4Spray your soap molds with rubbing alcohol - this will prevent bubbles
Step 5Add a few drops of colorant to each mold
Step 6Fill the molds with the melted soap
Step 7Use a stir stick to swirl the colorant in the soap
Step 8Let the soaps cool for a few hours & then pop them out of the molds
