I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.”
So for today’s Talk To Me Tuesday I’d like to challenge you to pick a word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2010?
To encourage everyone to pick their word, I’m giving away prizes!! Three lucky winners will have their Word of the Year customized to one of these fabulous necklaces.
1. RHB Designs
3. Frostings
Simply leave your Word of the Year in the comments.
Feel free to leave your post link or video, if you’ve created one.  Contest ends Jan. 11th.
Patience.
My word is MOMENT, as in live in the moment with my kids; Enjoy this precious time before my oldest starts kindergarten in the fall; Don’t worry about getting everything done around the house; etc. Matthew 6: 25-34.
SEE- This year my daughter turns 16. I will marry an incredible man. I will become a step mom to two beautiful step daughters ages 3 and 5. I will have a wedding surrounded by family.
Eyes wide open to every single moment. I will SEE with all my heart.
My word is SUCCESS.
This last year, I lost my job while planning our wedding, my husband is now in danger of losing his due to a restructuring, and we started two businesses: my law firm to replace my job and a bath and beauty business that seems to be edging along a bit. It’s about time we succeed.
I would love one with my children’s names on it. But if that is not possible then my word would be HOPE.
