I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.”
So for today’s Talk To Me Tuesday I’d like to challenge you to pick a word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2010?
To encourage everyone to pick their word, I’m giving away prizes!! Three lucky winners will have their Word of the Year customized to one of these fabulous necklaces.
1. RHB Designs
3. Frostings
Simply leave your Word of the Year in the comments.
Feel free to leave your post link or video, if you’ve created one.  Contest ends Jan. 11th.
I am stil l praying about One specific word, but my mantra for the year and new beginnings is : Joyful, Embrace, Inspire.
My word of the year is ME. As a busy mom I do so much for others – taxi, team mom, baker, crafter, etc… this year, I am going to concentrate on ME (I am going to TRY anyway!)
Health – Maybe wearing it around my neck would remind me to put down the cupcake. 😉
What a fun idea! My word for 2010 is Change… both on the inside and out 🙂
My word for 2010 is SIMPLIFY.
After having the hubs lose a job in August, we’ve had to simplify a lot of areas in our life. It has made it easier to deal with things and also left us much more time to enjoy the important things in life – not possessions but each other and our family.
