I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.”
So for today’s Talk To Me Tuesday I’d like to challenge you to pick a word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2010?
To encourage everyone to pick their word, I’m giving away prizes!! Three lucky winners will have their Word of the Year customized to one of these fabulous necklaces.
1. RHB Designs
3. Frostings
Simply leave your Word of the Year in the comments.
Feel free to leave your post link or video, if you’ve created one.  Contest ends Jan. 11th.
Energetic
“Simplify”
I chose simplify…I feel like I have allowed my life to be complete chaos for the past two years! My mom passed away in April 2008…since then my health has not been its best! I have allowed stres and everyday things to take over. By doing this you miss out on the special moments in your life. My mom loved life and she would want me to do the same! So, by simplifying each thing in our lives, we can take the time too enjoy each little event that God puts in our path! “I have to learn to not sweat the small stuff.”
(I have 2.) I would like increase my KNOWLEDGE, RELATIONSHIP, and depth of understanding of who Christ is so that when trials come, I react in a way that is pleasing and honoring to Him.
I have yet to decide on just one… some that I’m deciding between are joy, faith, hope, embrace and journey…. this is going to be a year of change so I want to remember to enjoy each moment of the change and know it is all going to work out and be worth it in the end! 🙂
My word of the year is JOY! I want the Joy of the Lord to be evident in my life this year.
