I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.”
So for today’s Talk To Me Tuesday I’d like to challenge you to pick a word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2010?
To encourage everyone to pick their word, I’m giving away prizes!! Three lucky winners will have their Word of the Year customized to one of these fabulous necklaces.
1. RHB Designs
3. Frostings
Simply leave your Word of the Year in the comments.
Feel free to leave your post link or video, if you’ve created one.  Contest ends Jan. 11th.
a few…..
SMILE – because that’s what I do & it makes the world a happier place
HOPE – hope that my alcoholic husband wakes up and realizes what he misses
ENJOY – enjoy life, because it moves so quickly
LAUGH – it really makes a body feel good
My word for the year is BALANCE. It seems to be a common one this year. Here’s my post about it:

DINNER: Meal time is really important I think, and I really need to improve my meal organization so that our family can eat healthy, yummy, ontime meals together. This will also filter into other things in my life like saving money by eating out less, improving my cooking skills, cherishing family relationships (my kids like to cook), being more organized at home etc. The list goes on. It all comes back to dinner. Which reminds me, what shall I make tonight?
Bliss!!
My word for 2010. I was laid off from my job of 8 years in August so this year is the perfect opportunity for me to follow my heart and Bank on my BLISS. Do what makes me the happiest on a day to day basis rather than just settling into a job the “pays the bills” ๐
My word is GRACE. I love that God has given us His grace and I want my life to reflect that. I want to see others through eyes of grace.
