I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.”
So for today’s Talk To Me Tuesday I’d like to challenge you to pick a word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2010?
To encourage everyone to pick their word, I’m giving away prizes!! Three lucky winners will have their Word of the Year customized to one of these fabulous necklaces.
1. RHB Designs
3. Frostings
Simply leave your Word of the Year in the comments.
Feel free to leave your post link or video, if you’ve created one.  Contest ends Jan. 11th.
My 2010 Word of the Year… Fitness. Since I want to “be fit” in all areas of my life, “fitness” is the one word I am using to help me stay focused on my goal.
I share more about my word choice on my blog at: http://bkmurphy.blogspot.com/2010/01/my-word-its-my-100th-post.html
Calm!
Balance . I need more of it in my life…
My word would be cherish, of which I have to start doing so for every moment.
My word of the year is going to be Renew. I had heard about this from another blogger a few weeks back and thought it was a fantastic idea. Never one to stick resolutions, having my word be my mantra whenever I am feeling low is just what I need. I’ve printed it out all pretty like and framed it to sit on my kitchen windowsill that I look out numerous times throughout the day, to remind me of the changes that need to be made.
