I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.”
So for today’s Talk To Me Tuesday I’d like to challenge you to pick a word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2010?
To encourage everyone to pick their word, I’m giving away prizes!! Three lucky winners will have their Word of the Year customized to one of these fabulous necklaces.
1. RHB Designs
3. Frostings
Simply leave your Word of the Year in the comments.
Feel free to leave your post link or video, if you’ve created one.  Contest ends Jan. 11th.
SOAR~ This year I will rise spirtually, professionally and personally. I have 3 inspirational “wings” to help me accomplish this.
Isaiah 40:30-31 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Moment is my word for the year. I just had my first baby and need to remember to live in and cherish the MOMENTS with my sweet little girl.
My word for 2010 is Inspiration
Hey Laurie! Loved your video, you are just so stinkin cute 🙂
My word of the year is TRUST. I’m going into this year knowing it will be one of huge change (new job for hubbie, moving to a new province) and it will no doubt be hard. I need to trust on the Lord with all my might this year…it’s so easy to get distracted by life and how I think things should be but my ways aren’t God’s ways and I need to trust that He knows what he’s doing. Which He totally does!!
