I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.”
So for today’s Talk To Me Tuesday I’d like to challenge you to pick a word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2010?
To encourage everyone to pick their word, I’m giving away prizes!! Three lucky winners will have their Word of the Year customized to one of these fabulous necklaces.
1. RHB Designs
3. Frostings
Simply leave your Word of the Year in the comments.
Feel free to leave your post link or video, if you’ve created one.  Contest ends Jan. 11th.
REMEMBER- I getting out of an abusive relationship and am struggling with the divorce with my two children. It is so important for me to REMEMBER that my Savior loves us and will never forget us.
Brilliance is the word I choose, and the way I want to be.
Not in the way typically meant, as in genius, or brilliantly smart, but in the sense of being afire, alight with enthusiasm and joy. I’ve been alone for a long time, and this year, I want to find love, and to glow with the radiance of that miracle. I’m hoping it’s around the corner, so prayers and good wishes are welcome, folks!

CONTENT….content in the things I have, content in the gift’s from God, content in my own body and mind, content with my surroundings, just content. That is my word for 2010. By being content, I release second-quessing myself, my confidence, my creativity and I am free to become a better me.
thank you for considering me for this awesome giveaway
Okay, first let me say I loved the video blog! You are awesome Lori, and such an inspiration to people who have struggled this past year. My word for 2010 is AUTHENTIC. My goal is to be genuine and authentic. For so many years, society has taught me to put on, and to hide behind a mask that always portrays happiness, that portrays being able to hold it all together at all times, that says YES I am always relaxed… a mask that has the standard answer of “fine” when asked the question, “How are you?” What I know now is that vulnerability is one of the key ingredients in building relationships and strengthening connections. To allow others to see the real me, is my goal. I am going to focus on being genuinely me, on allowing others to see that I can often be frazzled and that my house can look like a cyclone hit it… I am going to focus on being AUTHENTIC in 2010!!!
