I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.”
So for today’s Talk To Me Tuesday I’d like to challenge you to pick a word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2010?
To encourage everyone to pick their word, I’m giving away prizes!! Three lucky winners will have their Word of the Year customized to one of these fabulous necklaces.
1. RHB Designs
3. Frostings
Simply leave your Word of the Year in the comments.
Feel free to leave your post link or video, if you’ve created one.  Contest ends Jan. 11th.
This year my word will be LIVE.
I will stop worrying about yesterday or what’s coming tomorrow, and just enjoy the moment. I’m going to live my life instead of just planning for it.
ME.
I do for everyone else, and never for me. And the toll is starting to wear on me.
Allyson
Simplify…this is my mantra for the new year.
I will sort, sell, give, toss…all that I don’t use and need or otherwise adore (that saves the kids from the recycle bin!) I want to surround myself with less clutter, less stuff, and more joy! Kim
I read some of the comments and was surprised to see few mentions of “simplify.” I thought it would be a popular one. It’s the word for me this year. Thanks for hosting a great giveaway! ~~Rhonda
My word is NURTURE. You can read more about why I chose it here: http://downinthesun.blogspot.com/2010/01/my-word-for-2010.html
