I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.”
So for today’s Talk To Me Tuesday I’d like to challenge you to pick a word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2010?
To encourage everyone to pick their word, I’m giving away prizes!! Three lucky winners will have their Word of the Year customized to one of these fabulous necklaces.
1. RHB Designs
3. Frostings
Simply leave your Word of the Year in the comments.
Feel free to leave your post link or video, if you’ve created one.  Contest ends Jan. 11th.
Mine is funny because it is SO different from yours:
SIMPLIFY.
I, too, felt like last year was a tough year, but I feel like I am drowning in clutter and to-do’s. I want to simplify…
My word is TRUST
in myself, in my family, in God and his plan for us.
Well mine is two words: live simply, if I had to use only one though it would be toss up between: simplify and try (as in try a little harder to be a little better).
happiness
SELF….I’ve always been very hard on myself , trying to be “perfect” for everyone and make everyone happy, which has in turn caused so much internal and external stress on my me. I have finally realized while trying to make sure everyone else is happy , ironically, it has created so much pressure and stress on myself, and made me not so happy. And of course I want everyone to be happy but I have to make sure I am also taking care of mySELF.
