I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.”
So for today’s Talk To Me Tuesday I’d like to challenge you to pick a word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2010?
To encourage everyone to pick their word, I’m giving away prizes!! Three lucky winners will have their Word of the Year customized to one of these fabulous necklaces.
1. RHB Designs
3. Frostings
Simply leave your Word of the Year in the comments.
Feel free to leave your post link or video, if you’ve created one.  Contest ends Jan. 11th.
My word is APPRECIATE.
My word is “Shimmy”
Reasons:
1 – I love to bellydance and the shimmy is an integral part of this.
2 – I want to shimmy my waist down (wittle my middle if you will)
3 – When life gets you down you just need to shimmy away the gray and dance in the sun or the rain
4 – When you are tired and can’t get motivated a good shimmy will get the blood flowing
5 – It is just a fun word and we all need a little (or a lot) of fun in each and every day
Enjoy your day and shimmy some love into the world!
My word is “BELIEVE”. It is so important to believe in ourselves, but more important to believe in the Lord and the word that he sent for us. If we all believe what God has in store for us, we will all be better for it.

Balance ~
Meaning level, even, consistant. Something my family had very little of in 2009.
