I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.”
So for today’s Talk To Me Tuesday I’d like to challenge you to pick a word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2010?
To encourage everyone to pick their word, I’m giving away prizes!! Three lucky winners will have their Word of the Year customized to one of these fabulous necklaces.
1. RHB Designs
3. Frostings
Simply leave your Word of the Year in the comments.
Feel free to leave your post link or video, if you’ve created one.  Contest ends Jan. 11th.
My word is VIRTUE – with explanation here: http://aneudycari.blogspot.com/
My word is FEARLESS! Too often I let fears hold me back from doing things I want to do or stop me from chasing after my dreams. I want to face life without fear and be willing to accept and embrace all of the new challenges and opportunities that come to me this year.
My word of the year for 2010 is “FAMILY”- I recently got married and gained a lot of new family in addition to keeping my own family. I’m thankful for all the love in my life as a result!
After much deliberation, my word of the year for 2010 is “BE”. Be thankful for everything I have. Be happy with who I am. Be more patient . . .
Hope.
