My students make these using a blob of peanut butter and the noodles emphasizing that it takes a bird a long time to construct a nest. the eggs are from a package of multi colored jelly beans or jelly bellies.
My mom used to make these when I was a kid and I loved them! We used both butterscotch and semi-sweet chocolate chips though, and the coloring was about the same.
I really want to make these for a bake sale but I’m apprehensive about the butterscotch/chow mein combination. Do these taste as good as they look? Thanks
I made these with my girls and they loved them so much we are making them for their classmates. I bought some Easter candy bags from Box and Wrap so we can individually wrap each nest. These bags have bunnies on them..they are much cuter than just plain cello bags. Thanks so much for the recipe!
