Today I’m showcasing my favorite DIY decor tutorial that I’ve done all year. It’s a broken jewelry letter craft that I made for Charming Charlie (an accessory store).
This was really the coolest opportunity as I’m a huge fan of Charming Charlie. For me, they are the go-to-place for inexpensive accessories. Since I have all boys, the only person I have to dress up is myself! {{sad but true}} Since the Charming Charlie store organizes their accessories by color – it’s the easiest place for me to buy my accessories.
Watch my video for all the details on how to use broken jewelry to embellish this wood letter.

As featured on CharmingCharlie.com – This DIY decor project gives you an opportunity to use your outdated jewelry, non-functional jewelry, sentimental jewelry, jewelry you received as a gift (but would not wear), and other jewelry odds and ends.
Craft ~ Broken Jewelry Letter
For the complete tutorial on how to make this gorgeous blinged out monogram you can watch my video or head on over to the Charming Charlie blog with all the specifics.

You’ll need a letter of any size, a lot of jewelry, tin snips, and a hot glue gun. It took me 5 hours to make the first one (silver) but only 2 hours to make the second one (gold). Once you get all the jewelry cut up and figure out the design, it’s incredibly easy and zero crafting skills are required. {{wink}} Simply cut up the jewelry with the tin snips and hot glue onto the letter. That’s it!
You can hang it directly onto any wall or frame it like I did with the silver one. You can also go as elaborate or as simple as you’d like and use any size letter. This would make a gorgeous homemade gift idea. Keep it in mind for birthday presents this next year.

I would love a “C” to hang in my bedroom or bathroom. They are so cute!!
Thanks for the chance!
I would love to win my initial “J” decorated with all of the bling you can get on it. I recently was married in August 2010, and have a reputation of being “Ms. Bling, Bling. My christmas tree is always bling, and I love shopping at Charming Charlies. My husband actually gave me a $100 gift card from there for Christmas. I would ;love to hang the letter in our bedroom. I watched your video and loved what you did with the letter “C”. I make decorative bags and purses and they are always bling, bling. You have to go to the address bar to type in pamelas.biz to get to my website: Pamela’s Creations. I also make diaper bags, “Bootie Bags”, etc.
“P” my last initial, I would hang it in my bedroom. I think it would look FABULOUS!!!
I would love a “J” to hang above my dresser that I have all my jewelry on top of 🙂
I would absolutely LOVE to have this in a letter “B”. I saved up and bought myself an antique vanity table, and the wall space around it is currently bare. This would give me a great focal piece to hang above the mirror, all the while adding such charm to my dressing area!
