Today I’m showcasing my favorite DIY decor tutorial that I’ve done all year. It’s a broken jewelry letter craft that I made for Charming Charlie (an accessory store).
This was really the coolest opportunity as I’m a huge fan of Charming Charlie. For me, they are the go-to-place for inexpensive accessories. Since I have all boys, the only person I have to dress up is myself! {{sad but true}} Since the Charming Charlie store organizes their accessories by color – it’s the easiest place for me to buy my accessories.
Watch my video for all the details on how to use broken jewelry to embellish this wood letter.

As featured on CharmingCharlie.com – This DIY decor project gives you an opportunity to use your outdated jewelry, non-functional jewelry, sentimental jewelry, jewelry you received as a gift (but would not wear), and other jewelry odds and ends.
Craft ~ Broken Jewelry Letter
For the complete tutorial on how to make this gorgeous blinged out monogram you can watch my video or head on over to the Charming Charlie blog with all the specifics.

You’ll need a letter of any size, a lot of jewelry, tin snips, and a hot glue gun. It took me 5 hours to make the first one (silver) but only 2 hours to make the second one (gold). Once you get all the jewelry cut up and figure out the design, it’s incredibly easy and zero crafting skills are required. {{wink}} Simply cut up the jewelry with the tin snips and hot glue onto the letter. That’s it!
You can hang it directly onto any wall or frame it like I did with the silver one. You can also go as elaborate or as simple as you’d like and use any size letter. This would make a gorgeous homemade gift idea. Keep it in mind for birthday presents this next year.

I would love to have the letter “M” for my 13 year old daughter. We just painted her a big girl room and painted her furniture black in her room. She is so into jewelry and bling right now that your creative style would look great in her room. We love doing crafts together and with my mom so she also loves handmade products. Thank you for such creative pieces.

I would love to get the letter (L) for my daughter Kristi Leigh (She goes by Leigh) who will getting her own apartment soon. I would like to give this to her as a housewarming gift to show her how much I love her and believe in her with whatever she does. I would have her to hang it over the tv so every time she sat in the living room she would see it and think of me and know how much I really love her.
I absolutely LUV this idea. Thank you sooo much. My grandmother passed away 3 years ago & had accumulated a lot of jewelry. My mother still has a lot of it after her sisters & daughters were each given some. This is a wonderful idea & I believe grandma would be so happy to know that we have kept it & made a beautiful piece of art with a lot of her jewelry.
I would love to have a letter K for my last name. Thank you again for this very unique idea.
I’d like the letter “J” for my first name. I would put it on the door to my office, as I recently began an at-home business. It would help signify the space and the journey that I’ve been taking to become a small business.
The letter “K.” I would love to hang it in the living room showing off my new married last name and our family style!
