Today I’m showcasing my favorite DIY decor tutorial that I’ve done all year. It’s a broken jewelry letter craft that I made for Charming Charlie (an accessory store).
This was really the coolest opportunity as I’m a huge fan of Charming Charlie. For me, they are the go-to-place for inexpensive accessories. Since I have all boys, the only person I have to dress up is myself! {{sad but true}} Since the Charming Charlie store organizes their accessories by color – it’s the easiest place for me to buy my accessories.
Watch my video for all the details on how to use broken jewelry to embellish this wood letter.

As featured on CharmingCharlie.com – This DIY decor project gives you an opportunity to use your outdated jewelry, non-functional jewelry, sentimental jewelry, jewelry you received as a gift (but would not wear), and other jewelry odds and ends.
Craft ~ Broken Jewelry Letter
For the complete tutorial on how to make this gorgeous blinged out monogram you can watch my video or head on over to the Charming Charlie blog with all the specifics.

You’ll need a letter of any size, a lot of jewelry, tin snips, and a hot glue gun. It took me 5 hours to make the first one (silver) but only 2 hours to make the second one (gold). Once you get all the jewelry cut up and figure out the design, it’s incredibly easy and zero crafting skills are required. {{wink}} Simply cut up the jewelry with the tin snips and hot glue onto the letter. That’s it!
You can hang it directly onto any wall or frame it like I did with the silver one. You can also go as elaborate or as simple as you’d like and use any size letter. This would make a gorgeous homemade gift idea. Keep it in mind for birthday presents this next year.

So cute! Charming Charlie’s is my new favorite store! I can’t seem to stay out of there. I would love to have the letter “F” for my last name. Being the only female in my home, I would love to hang it in my bathroom to give it the ultra feminine touch it so badly needs!
I would like an N to hang above our bed!! I’ve needed the perfect art piece to hang above our bed with grey and orchid bedding. I think this would be perfect!!
I am a teacher of home economics (as it used to be called) and when I am teaching a class in interior design or apparel, I love to show these very impressionable teenagers examples of how to explore creative talents. This idea is so neat and so personable. I would love to win your prize, I might not be able to make one on my own, but teachers right now are not on the top of the salary lists. My choice in letters would be an A, not for my name but for what each of my students can achieve if they put forth the effort.
Love it. so creative. Would love one for my daughter letter E
I love Charming Charlie and that is the cutest idea ever. Pick Me! Pick me! If you do or do not I am going to have to make some of those they will make the neatest gift ever.
