I’ve been getting tons of e-mails asking me to post about the CPSC lead testing requirement. It’s a law that’s going to effect all Mom-preneurs and products created by women.
I’m going to be honest, I’ve been completely consumed with trying to heal from my surgery, so I don’t know the specifics.
Apparently, the CPSC has issued a “stay of enforcement of testing and certification requirements” on the CPSIA.
It’s getting down to crunch time (Feb 10th) when the law goes into effect and it’s really going to impact a lot of women, especially mom-preneurs.
If you want to do something about it, check out these women who know more:

One bit of good news for your readers though – this legislation doesn’t actually impact all momtrepreneurs. Only ones who are creating items for children under 12. If it’s a diaper bag, nursing pillow, or something else for adults you’re in the clear.
I was just going to mention that the law or legislation, however you want to put it, is being put on hold for a year so they can finagle out some of the details. The wording is pretty bad as far as being clear, and there are plenty of other problems. So everyone is safe for another year and then we’ll see what happens next. Just wanted to give you the heads up 🙂
