Are you wondering how to wear boots for a spring rain and still sport your personal fashion style? Then you’re in luck! Jen put together a fabulous tutorial on how she personalized her rain boots for spring.
How To Wear Boots
I just got this darling painted rain boot tutorial from Jen who personalized rubber rain boot using fabric paint for herself and her daughter.
Wear Rain Boots
I wanted cute rain boots for myself and my daughter, but I didn’t want to pay the designer price so I bought cheap rubber boots and painted designs on them with fabric paint. It’s a great craft for adults and kids too because they can personalize their own boots! It’s also a perfect craft for the rainy spring season.
All you need is some of tubes of fabric paint and a pair of uncoated, “fisherman-style” rubber boots, not like the ones with the shiny coating. Before making, read the tips at the bottom of Jen’s post.
If you have a tutorial over on your blog, we’d love to see it! Feel free to leave it on the Tip Junkie Facebook page or right here in the comments. Or if you’re looking for something specific, let me know. I’d be happy to help you find it.
Creating Memories that Endure,
Laurie
I knew Laurie would be able to “hook me up” with my almost new, black boots I just bought at Goodwill for $5!
I have wanted a pair of stylish rubber boots for a while but like many others I just could not pay that kind of money.
Thanks Laurie and Jen!
That’s a nice idea and you must have some real talent to do this kind of work.
Wow! They look beautiful and I would never thought to do this. I love this idea!
I have read somewhere that you can use permanent marker to customize your rain boots. That should work even with the shiny ones!
Also read somewhere that they used craft foam to decorate their boots. But am not sure anymore what glue they used …
But it sounded like a fun easy project!!! 🙂
