Tip Junkie is in full-force this holiday shopping season with some fun promotions and social media marketing for Mom-prenuers. Let’s get the word out about these products created by women!
I recently gave a presentation at SITScation (a blogging conference) on “Creating Your Own Blogging Experience” that incorporated 6 steps. Step #4 was to create a blogging alliance. I came home from the conference with a renewed conviction of networking and the influence that comes with connecting with like-minded women.
I know that if we change our perspective from competing with each other to forming a Mom-preneur alliance we will see a change in our bottom line. With that new perspective in mind, I’ve come up with several creative ways we can unite together to sell your products.
Are you ready? I know it looks like a lot, but most of it you’re probably already doing. The key is to collaborate with each other so we’ll all be more successful. Here we go…
1. Holiday Mom-preneur Shop-a-thon: Every Wednesday Tip Junkie features the 3 most popular products from the TJ Mom-preneur Shops. If you like what you see, then blog, tweet, or post it on Facebook. If you help promote Mom-preneurs then others will do the same for you. (The principle of reciprocity – “you get what you give”.)
To be featured in the Mom-prenuer Shop-a-thon is easy! Simply make sure your EH Mom Shop or TJ Mom-preneur Shop listing is active and then e-mail me your 3 most popular products using my form under “other”. Products are featured on a first come, first serve basis.
2. 12 Days of Junkie: To help promote & feature some of the amazing women who have joined the Mom-preneur Shop-a-thon, I have set up the 12 Days of Junkie where there will be two winners every day. It starts on Monday! {{squeal with delight}}
This HUGE giveaway has 2 purposes:
1. To spotlight women’s products in hopes that you’ll find something you love and then buy or barter for it.
2. To give away products for you to use at home or save some cash and give as a gift.
3. Buy Mom Made Pledge: I’ve united with CreatedByMom and MomMadeThat to create a Buy Mom Made movement that promotes women in business! Our goal is to bring as much business to moms as possible, wherever they may be located online. (You can also be a “mom a heart”.)
Everyone benefits from awareness and exposure to Mom Shops. It’s another way we’re creating our Mom-preneur Alliance. Please help us spread the enthusiasm under one movement by taking this pledge. This is my passion and the reason I do what I do every day – promote creative women. I hope you’ll join our movement and help us spread the word.
4. TJ Community Expert & Mom-preneur of the Week: Every week I will be spotlighting and featuring a TJ Community Expert as well as Mom-preneur of the Week. The TJ Community is an easy way to rub elbows, gain fabulous ideas, and promote yourself and our products. And it’s just straight up fun to learn from some of the most creative women on the net.
There are MANY perks in participating in these programs. If you are interested, please submit under other your name, blog/site address, and a little about yourself. (Having an active blog for more than a year is the only requirement.)
9. Buy from other Mom-prenuers! If you want people to buy from you then buy from them. It promotes the buy mom made movement and will show you as an active participant in the community. Trade and barter with each other. It keeps money in your pocketbook, you get a great product, and your product gets added exposure.
Whew! You made it through the entire post. {{giggle}} I want you to know that I am fully committed to promoting all the fabulous women who participate in the Mom-prenuer Shops on Tip Junkie and Executive Homemaker. I hope you’ll help me unite everyone together and help me promote our Mom-preneur Alliance with these collaboration efforts.
As usual, if you have any questions or need any assistance, feel free to contact me or leave a comment. Whoohoo!!
xoxo
Laurie
Whew! Thanks, Laurie, for all the opportunities. I’m in the mode of scheduling this morning so this post is perfect timing. I’m not sure I ‘get’ Whirrl yet, but I’m going to try it out (just like everything else online) and see what happens. Thanks again.
