LOSE WEIGHT
If you want to exercise in the great outdoors, find an app on your phone that will help you monitor your route!
If dieting is a part of this plan, figure out what diet you are going to do and stock up your fridge with what you need before you embark on your goal.

GET ORGANIZED
There are so many articles, tips, tricks, and hacks available online and in books to help you get organized. Decide what areas need organization the most, and focus on that area.
Is it your paper clutter that you can’t get a handle on? Maybe your closets are jam-packed with stuff and you need to de-clutter. Focus on the top item that needs to be organized and then research ways and items that can help you organize that area.
Once you’ve organized that area, THEN move on to a new one. This way you won’t feel like you can never get a handle on what needs to be done.

SPEND LESS AND SAVE MORE
Spending less and saving more sounds like such an easy goal, until you actually have to spend less. It seems like there is always something that comes up that requires money, right?
So, download an app to your phone that will keep track of your spending. You’ll have to make a budget, but using a budgeting app will help you stick to your financial goals.
There are tons of good apps available for free and purchase. Find the right one for you and your needs.
FIND MORE JOY IN LIFE
This is one of my favorite resolutions, and I love that it’s on most people’s minds. Finding joy in life can be as simple as changing your attitude! I adore that you can find joy in life without spending money, too.
If your attitude needs an adjustment, consider inspirational quotes that will help you stay upbeat. Do more things you enjoy. This goal can be achieved by a lot of self-reflection and then acting on ways that can be changed so you can find more joy in life.

STAY FIT AND HEALTHY
Maybe you don’t need to lose weight, but you’d like to stay fit and healthy but don’t know where to start.
We’d recommend that you sit down and make a list of what you need to do to stay fit. Is it to exercise x amount of minutes a day? Is it changing the way you eat? Pinpoint ways you can do this and then PUT IT IN YOUR CALENDAR as a recurring item.
LEARN SOMETHING NEW
We should never stop learning! Decide what you want to learn and then get the resources to do it!

QUIT SMOKING
If you are a smoker, succeeding in this resolution can seem like climbing Mt. Everest. If you’ve tried before and failed, think about what it was that made you not follow through.
Did you have medical help that you didn’t stick to? Were you lacking the will or support system?
This time, try having more than one method in place to make this goal come true. Set up your support system, think about getting a stress ball or other sensory items that you utilize when you feel like smoking, and if you are using a patch or other medications to help you stop smoking, make sure you have them on hand.

HELP OTHERS
You can make a difference in someone’s life without even realizing it, or even taking much time out of your own life. If someone looks lost, ask if they need help.
When that person in the parking lot has a dead battery, help them jump their battery and help get them on their way. Carry a bag for someone that is struggling.
Of course, there are lots of ways to help others and you can make a commitment to a cause financially, or by offering your services. Make your service meaningful to you so that it is to the recipient as well. If you think about ways to help others both big and small before you decide to “help,” you’ll be able to visualize and act in situations that can be beneficial to others.
FALL IN LOVE
Falling in love is just plain, lovely. You don’t have to fall in love with a person though! Fall in love with something new. Find a new hobby or interest that you can learn to really enjoy!
SPEND MORE TIME WITH FAMILY
Spending time with family can be harder than it sounds because everyone seems to have such busy schedules! Family dinners are a great way to spend time together! If you can’t seem to get everyone together at the same time, schedule one-on-one time with them!
Make use of your smartphones and schedule, schedule, schedule. A great tip we’ve learned is to always set aside time that is “family time” so that you don’t put off this important resolution. No matter what your situation is, plan on scheduling family time in order for it to happen!
ADDITIONAL TIPS TO HELP YOU SUCCEED:
Don’t make too many resolutions or you might overwhelm yourself. Keep your list short and doable, and only pick resolutions that you REALLY want to achieve.
Use technology to help you achieve your resolutions whenever you can. There are apps and “smart” technology that can help you stay on top of your game if you just use them.
Start the new year with a plan to keep your resolutions. If you are going to get organized, have a list of things that need to be organized as well as a list of ways to do it.
