Hi everyone! I’m excited to be here on Tip Junkie today. My name is Stephanie and I am the author of the creative site Somewhat Simple. I’ll be here each Wednesday this month with a family-friendly idea that is simple and fun!
Today’s idea can’t get any easier to prepare and play! It’s great for kids and adults of all ages- my young kids love it, but you could also have your teenage children play it to see who gets out of doing the dishes after dinner- get creative!
You will need:
-A die
-A set of snowman pieces for each player. I made the following printable, you can use it if you’d like!
Object of the Game:
Be the first person to collect all the pieces of your snowman.
Set Up:
Print the snowman printable & cut it out. Then place all the pieces in the center of the table and get ready to roll. The youngest person will start and play continues clockwise.
How to Play:
1. Roll the die and collect the piece of snowman for the number you roll:
6- Body
5- Head
4- Hat
3- Scarf
2- Arms
1- Nose
If you roll a number for a part you already have, play passes to the next player.
Variations:
– Make it more difficult by requiring each player to roll a 6 to get a body before they can collect any pieces. And then require that each player rolls a 5 for a head before they can collect a nose, scarf and hat.
– If you don’t want to print and cut out the above printable, just give each player a pencil and paper and have them draw the snowman parts as they roll the various numbers.
I hope you all have fun with your family this holiday season!

So cute and simple. Even the littlest kids can play.
And it’s a perfect travel game too. It doesn’t take up much space. If you lose the pieces you can print another when you get home.
Thanks for sharing!
Whew! You saved my daughter from the horror (gasp!) of not bringing a holiday gift bag to school for her classmates! THANK YOU!!!! ~Stephanie

I sell a version of this game in my etsy shop. It has more rules and is fun for all ages to play. I have used it with huge groups.
Hi … love this for a party tonight!! Is there a link for the printables … I didn’t see it!
Thanks!!
Neat idea! Thanks for sharing. I think we will impliment this as a “Dress the Cubmaster as a Snowmant” during scouts next week with some lifesize felt pieces. We’ll see how it works?! Thanks again!
