Where do you usually put your cell phone away at home? Do you carry it around everywhere with you? Or do you have a special place for it like a dock? I usually carry it around with me and end up misplacing it. In the evenings before I go to bed I place it on my night table, but lately having my phone too close to me while I’m asleep, semi-freaks me out. All those cell phone “waves” too close to me can not be a good thing, so I thought of making a home for it. What do you think? I originally bought an unfinished wood box at Ben Franklin for my daughter. But, being the awesome mom I am, I “borrowed” it for a craft. Please take a look below at how I put this together. It was fairly easy and SO much fun to make!!!
A home for your cell phone

You Will Need...
- Materials:
- Unfinished wood box from Ben Franklin craft store
- “Ceramcoat” White Acrylic Paint also found at Ben Franklin
- Gold Glitter Tape found at any craft store or Amazon
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
First, you will mask your wood box with masking tape and apply 1 layer of paint. Wait until it dries completely to apply second layer. Once two thirds of your box is painted and dry, mask the very top of your box and then apply 1 layer of paint to the lid. Wait for 30 min for paint to dry and apply a second layer. I am listing the materials below and where you can find them.
