With a handful of buttons, paper clips and felt, you can make some unique bookmarks. Easy and inexpensive, they make wonderful little gifts for teachers, friends, and even your favorite reader! I use them for my notes, on my files and yes, even in the books I’m reading.

You Will Need...
- shank buttons
- large paper clips
- scrap felt
- hot glue gun
- scissors
- lighter
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Thread the buttons on the paper clips and slide them to the end with one loop.
Step 2
Apply hot glue to the back of the button to hold it to the paper clip.
Step 3
Before the glue hardens, place the felt over the back and press down.
Step 4
Go ahead and make up the rest of your bookmarks.
Step 5
Trim the felt close to the edge of the button.
Step 6
With the lighter, quickly heat the edges of the felt. This will cause the felt to draw up and eliminate any fuzzies. Don’t heat it too long though, or you might scorch the fabric and the button.
