Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Cut the melted strings off the carpet. All of the burnt fabrics should be removed – don’t worry if you are cutting too much of the carpet – it will be covered up later.
Step 2
Find a strand that is sticking out from the edge of the carpet and pull it off until you have the needed leght and cut it in the base.
Step 3
Cut the the thread into 1 cm long pieces. They should be enough to cover the entire burnt spot.
Step 4
Apply a small amount of the instant adhesive on the burn hole and stick the half of your pile to it. Push it down with tweezers or with the handles of the scissors. Hold on a few seconds to dry well and gently pull the excess strands off.
Step 5
Repeat this process again with the other half of the pile, but this time you have to apply an extremely small amount of adhesive. When you’re done, cut the strands so that they flatten with the carpet surface.
Voila!
