This easy to make tennis ball garland would be perfect as a tennis party decoration, or as a decoration for the high school end-of-season tennis banquet. I am using it as a seasonal decoration in my house because I’m just that excited about high school tennis season.

You Will Need...
- old tennis balls
- ribbon or string
- drill
- elastic threader
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Stabilize a tennis ball.{ I used a vice grip.} Drill a hole all the way through both sides of the ball. Do this for each ball. I used 15 balls total.
Step 2
Use an elastic threader {you know, the kind you use to put elastic in the waistband of a skirt or to re-thread the tie in a sweatshirt hoodie} to thread your string through the tennis balls. Sometimes you have to squish the ball to pull the threader all the way through.
Step 3
Keep adding balls to the string one at a time until you have all the balls on the string. Spread them out at a distance you like.
Step 4
The balls are a little heavy, so for hanging this garland, I used little metal hooks that I screwed in under my mantle. This helps distribute the weight and the metal hooks are secure enough to support the garland. I added a couple of vintage racquets to my decoration.
