My daughter was born on Milton Hershey’s birthday so we thought it would be super cute to get her a kiss costume for her 1st Halloween. We couldn’t find one anywhere. So I was out shopping one day and found a pumpkin costume at Ross for around $10 It was the perfect shape for a kiss.. so I decided to make it myself. I got the pumpkin costume, some silver fabric, white 1.5 inch ribbon and blue scribbles paint and got to work. (Now I don’t really know how to sew, my mom taught me basics when I was 5 so I’m sure this would turn out better for someone that knew what they were doing lol). I just used a needle and thread to tack sew the silver fabric over the pumpkin. I didn’t get too carried away since I knew it was for 1 night and a 1 month old baby that wasn’t gonna be running around or anything so very simple to sew. The hat not so simple but not hard. I cut a pattern out by hand that was the shape of a kiss/cone and sewed a band of elastic into the bottom. I sewed up the side and at the top put the white ribbon through and then sewed it in. (this was done while the fabric was inside out of course). Then On the white ribbon I hand wrote “lil Kiss” with blue scribbles 3d paint. Thats it. To finish off the costume (since it was cold out) I put on some white and gray leg warmers and a long sleeve white onesie.
