Here is the tutorial that we made for our Lego Costumes. We got our inspiration for this costume from instructables.com We wore these costumes to a coworker’s Halloween party as well as trick-or-treating with our nieces.
Step 1First cut the Quik-Tube to the right size to cover your face.
Step 2Cut the circles that you will need for the top and bottom of the heads. It is easier if you have objects to trace.
Step 3Glue all of the circles together. 2 together for the top, 2 together for the bottom, and 3 of the small ones for the nob on top.
Step 4Sand the larger circles so they have the shape that is needed. Then cut out the hole for your head to fit through on one of the larger sets that is glued together.
Step 5Cut out the eye and mouth with a dremel.
Step 6To keep everything together, we taped the portions to the tube.
Step 7We created a little stand to put the head on and started to spray paint it yellow. I think if we had used primer, it would have needed less coats.
Step 8Once dry, cut up foam and put inside so it is comfortable to wear and won't tip when you look down.
Step 9Also, add black fabric to the inside of the head so it looks black. I used double sided tape since my fabric was slippery.
Step 10For the bodies, we took a box, cut the corners, and retaped them to get the right shape.
Step 11Then we spray painted them too.
Step 12Get shirts to match your spray paint that are long sleeved.
Step 13Wear yellow rubber gloves and your outfit is complete!
