- 2 cups baking soda
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 cup cornmeal
- 1 tablespoon whole cloves
- 1 tablespoon Borax (optional)
- 4 bay leaves
- Blender
- Sprinkle-top container
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Add the ingredients to the blender. Borax is added to give the cleaner a little bit more power, but if you don’t have it at home, you can leave it out. Baking soda is added to freshen and dissolve dirt buildup. Cloves and bay leaves perfume your rugs while having an antibacterial cleaning power.
Step 2
Pour the mixture into a sprinkle-top container and sprinkle generously over your carpet. Let it sit for minimum two hours or overnight.
