These DIY flip flops are so easy and they make fun birthday gifts! They could even be party favors that your guests make for themselves. The tutorial is for adult sized flip flops, but you could do it for children’s flip flops too! I made these for my dad. He’s my superhero. That’s why I chose the colors you see in the picture (think Superman or Captain America).

You Will Need...
- Flip flops (choose superhero colors if you like)
- 36 feet of Paracord
- Scissors
- Lighter
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Cut paracord into 18 ft lengths. Attach the middle of one length to the flip flop strap.
Step 2
Tie square knots around the strap (like making a paracord or hemp bracelet) until you get to the toe post.
Step 3
Tie single-sided knots around the curve for the toe post.
Step 4
Continue tying square knots around strap until you reach the base.
Step 5
Cut the leftover paracord and burn the edges until shiny and smooth.
Step 6
Burn the raw edges of the cut paracord until it’s shiny and smooth.
Step 7
Repeat steps 1-6 with the other flip flop and you’re done!
