Pre-wash your fabric and diapers, and then iron out the wrinkles. Cut your fabric into a rectangle approximately 1? wider and taller than the center of the flatfold diaper.
Fold the fabric edges under, and iron the seams. Pin the fabric in place.
Then all you have to do is sew around the fabric using a stitch made for stretchy fabrics. The stitch I used looks similar to an offset zig-zag. Make sure not to let the fabric stretch as you sew or youll end up with wavy edges.
**It isnt 100% necessary to use a twin needle when sewing knits, but it does make the task much easier and it gives the project a cleaner look.
And, voila, thats it now you have a set of unique, adorable, super-absorbent burp cloths! If you'd like to use these for personalized gifts, simply embroider the knit fabric before sewing to the burp cloths.
