You Will Need...
- Flatfold Cloth Diapers
- Knit Fabric
- Thread
- Twin Needle
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Pre-wash your fabric and diapers, and then iron out the wrinkles. Cut your fabric into a rectangle approximately 1? wider and taller than the center of the flatfold diaper.
Step 2
Fold the fabric edges under, and iron the seams. Pin the fabric in place.
Step 3
Then all you have to do is sew around the fabric using a stitch made for stretchy fabrics. The stitch I used looks similar to an offset zig-zag. Make sure not to let the fabric stretch as you sew or youll end up with wavy edges.
**It isnt 100% necessary to use a twin needle when sewing knits, but it does make the task much easier and it gives the project a cleaner look.Step 4
And, voila, thats it now you have a set of unique, adorable, super-absorbent burp cloths! If you’d like to use these for personalized gifts, simply embroider the knit fabric before sewing to the burp cloths.
