Here are our 12 favorite easy homemade musical instruments to make music with your kids. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to introduce your children to simple musical instruments! Make your own homemade instruments with supplies such as cardboard boxes, tongue depressors, sticks and paper towel rolls. These homemade musical instruments for kids are not only fun, they are instructional!

1.  Popsicle Stick Harmonica ~ Who knew making a harmonica was possible or that it could be so easy. You’ll need popsicle sticks and rubber bands!

2. Coconut Shell Instruments ~ Making these fun coconut shell instruments is easy, but this project is for an adult to make, not your children!

3. PVC Pipe Xylophone ~ This homemade xylophone project is so cool. It takes some planning, but you’ll be amazed by the tone and pitch.

4. Tubular Bells ~ This is such a cool instrument! Use a paper towel roll for the base and then add bells with needle and thread.
