I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.”
So for today’s Talk To Me Tuesday I’d like to challenge you to pick a word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2010?
To encourage everyone to pick their word, I’m giving away prizes!! Three lucky winners will have their Word of the Year customized to one of these fabulous necklaces.
1. RHB Designs
3. Frostings
Simply leave your Word of the Year in the comments.
Feel free to leave your post link or video, if you’ve created one.  Contest ends Jan. 11th.

A blogger friend picked the word flourish & I loved it too so I am going to try to FLOURISH along with her!
My word for this year would be COURAGE.
I want to remember that everything in my life takes a little courage, whether it is starting a new project, meeting new people, moving to a new town or fighting cancer. And that despite all the new changes in my life I can do anything if I have a little courage. I heard a quote once I really liked “Courage is being scared to death – but saddling up anyway.”
Believe it or not, I have been dreaming about my word of the year and waking up with new words pretty much every night. I have not settled on one yet, but feel like it will come to me soon. At this point the list of words is Intentional, Inspire, Content, and Today. I guess, I need a word that sums up all four or a concept. I think Discover would work if I am intentional, focused on being content, live for today and seek inspiration, I hope to discover my true self. Wow, a lot of big ideas!
