I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.”
So for today’s Talk To Me Tuesday I’d like to challenge you to pick a word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2010?
To encourage everyone to pick their word, I’m giving away prizes!! Three lucky winners will have their Word of the Year customized to one of these fabulous necklaces.
1. RHB Designs
3. Frostings
Simply leave your Word of the Year in the comments.
Feel free to leave your post link or video, if you’ve created one.  Contest ends Jan. 11th.
Patience…
My word is going to be APPRECIATE. This year I want to look around and APPRECIATE all the gifts in my life: my husband, my daughters, my sisters, my parents and in-laws, my grandmother, my home, my health, my friends. Instead of dwelling on the things that are challenging in my life, I am really going to make an effort to APPRECIATE the many blessings that surround me!
Our word this year is HOME. Our first little one joined us in 2009 so we’ve gotta get this house in tip top shape this year! I’m excited to make our house a home!
My word for 2010 is Discover!
I want to discover some of my hidden talents so I will be trying new things this year. Also, I want to discover what God has instore for me this year with his many blessings.
