I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.”
So for today’s Talk To Me Tuesday I’d like to challenge you to pick a word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2010?
To encourage everyone to pick their word, I’m giving away prizes!! Three lucky winners will have their Word of the Year customized to one of these fabulous necklaces.
1. RHB Designs
3. Frostings
Simply leave your Word of the Year in the comments.
Feel free to leave your post link or video, if you’ve created one.  Contest ends Jan. 11th.
My word for 2010 is FIGHT. Here is the link to the post on my blog http://msnielson.blogspot.com/2010/01/new-year-word.html
I’ve seen a couple other blogs mention a word of the year and I love the idea! I am still trying to come up with a solid one for 2010. “Offline” comes to mind but I’m not sure I’d want that stamped on a necklace. Then again, that could be a great conversation piece! I’d love to be online less, doing things IRL (“in real life”) more often. Ah! I have it! Perhaps my word is BALANCE…YES! That’s the word for 2010!!! Whoo hoo!
LOVE,
What a powerful thing…Love brought me my wonderful husband and two, beautiful boys! Blessed with LOVE! Here’s to 2010!
My word is Balanced. I need to find a better balance of work, chores, family time, etc.
Reduction
Reduction in my waist-line, in our spending, in the time I give to everyone and everything else but my husband and children.
