I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.”
So for today’s Talk To Me Tuesday I’d like to challenge you to pick a word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2010?
To encourage everyone to pick their word, I’m giving away prizes!! Three lucky winners will have their Word of the Year customized to one of these fabulous necklaces.
1. RHB Designs
3. Frostings
Simply leave your Word of the Year in the comments.
Feel free to leave your post link or video, if you’ve created one.  Contest ends Jan. 11th.
What a great idea. I’ve enjoyed reading everyone’s words. Lots of good ones to choose from – I have to go with LOVED, becuase if I am loved everyhting else will fall into place. If my kiddo and hubby love me then I am doing what I need to do at home. If my friends and family love me then I am clearly living right. Andif my God loves me then I am on the right path!
VIBRANCE!
This word sums up how I want to be in all areas of my life as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, exercise enthusiast, teacher, servant of others, homemaker, worshiper, volunteer, reader, lover of life, adventure and unique experiences etc…It means to pulse or thrive with energy or activity, striking, sparkling, spirited, alive, brilliant, energetic, willing, intense, responsive, eager. I want to live each day whether exciting or mundane with vibrance, giving to myself as well as those around me the best that we all deserve. Kimberly
My word for the year is “Inspire”. I want to feel inspired all year and to inspire my children.
