I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.”
So for today’s Talk To Me Tuesday I’d like to challenge you to pick a word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2010?
To encourage everyone to pick their word, I’m giving away prizes!! Three lucky winners will have their Word of the Year customized to one of these fabulous necklaces.
1. RHB Designs
3. Frostings
Simply leave your Word of the Year in the comments.
Feel free to leave your post link or video, if you’ve created one.  Contest ends Jan. 11th.
My word this year is Faith
Joy
My word for 2010 is CHOOSE
SIMPLIFY
Since I’m welcoming a new baby in March and moving to some currently unknown destination in June I think I’ll really need to simplify to survive. So that’s what I’m going to focus on, simplifying my life, my home, and my schedule. Hopefully we will all come out of this whirlwind year unscathed by the chaos that could potentially take over.
My word for the year is “enjoy.” We are going to have a lot of changes for our family in 2010 (a new job, a cross country move, and longer working hours for my husband) and I just want to remember not to stress about it and instead enjoy the journey!
