I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.”
So for today’s Talk To Me Tuesday I’d like to challenge you to pick a word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2010?
To encourage everyone to pick their word, I’m giving away prizes!! Three lucky winners will have their Word of the Year customized to one of these fabulous necklaces.
1. RHB Designs
3. Frostings
Simply leave your Word of the Year in the comments.
Feel free to leave your post link or video, if you’ve created one.  Contest ends Jan. 11th.
My word for 2o1o is: Growth.
Spiritual, emotional and intellectual! My daughter will be 6 months old tomorrow (::pout::) and watching her grow and change these last few months has shown me how stagnant I’ve become. So in 2o1o I hope to grow ๐
Balance
My word is ORGANIZATION…This is the year for me to get organized around the house.
My word for the year is “discovering”
This year I would want my new word to be “stress-free” haha LOL
This really seems to be taking off – I’ve seen this idea on a few blogs. I really like it because setting a New Year’s Resolution is always so hard.
My word is COMMIT! It fits for many different reasons but it will basically be a reminder for me to COMMIT to doing the things I’ve wanted to do and don’t follow through.
It would be AWESOME to have a necklace with that word as a reminder (LOVE that first one with the pearl!!) I’m going to print the word out and put in places where I will see it. I also heard of someone framing their word. Thought that was very cool!! ๐
Thanks! ๐
