I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.”
So for today’s Talk To Me Tuesday I’d like to challenge you to pick a word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2010?
To encourage everyone to pick their word, I’m giving away prizes!! Three lucky winners will have their Word of the Year customized to one of these fabulous necklaces.
1. RHB Designs
3. Frostings
Simply leave your Word of the Year in the comments.
Feel free to leave your post link or video, if you’ve created one.  Contest ends Jan. 11th.
My word for 2010 is twenty-ten. NOT two thousand ten, not o-ten. Just twenty-ten, thank you! ๐
OK, so for real… I think my word would be CREATE. I want to try to learn new things, I aspire to create fun, out-of-the box items, and I want to start an Etsy shop to share items I have created with others who believe they don’t have the “creative bug”.

Simplicity…’nuff said!
i am trying not to sweat the small stuff to be a better mother, daughter, sister, friend and human being.
i take so much for granted, i’m in a hurry, i’m inpatient, i’m aggrevated, i’m angry, i’m busy, i’m sweating the small stuff, instead of waiting, being patient, smiling, being happy, being in the moment. i’m going to miss out on all of the big stuff because i worried about the small stuff that didn’t matter. like living in the moment, dinner will get made, the laundry will get done, but your child(ren) will not stay the same age, and they will remember the “too busy” mom, the “not now” mama, the “in a minute” mommy, and worst of all the “absent” ma, so my word would have to be two very simple yet meaningful words- “just be”
thank you for the opprotunity and “just be” in the moment that you are given, you never want to have any regrets;}
COURAGE
Sometimes we are a little too shy or afraid to try new ventures or meet new friends. All we need is just some courage!
