I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.”
So for today’s Talk To Me Tuesday I’d like to challenge you to pick a word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2010?
To encourage everyone to pick their word, I’m giving away prizes!! Three lucky winners will have their Word of the Year customized to one of these fabulous necklaces.
1. RHB Designs
3. Frostings
Simply leave your Word of the Year in the comments.
Feel free to leave your post link or video, if you’ve created one.  Contest ends Jan. 11th.
Our word is “BLESSED” It just happens to be the meaning of both my name and my husbands name, (Dave and Amy). We feel God blesses us every year and we are again claiming it this year 2010! What a wonderful thing to have on your website!!! Love it!!!
What a lovely giveaway!
Happiness is my word for 2010.
Thanks for the chance.
I think my word is ” Family”…I want to spend more time enjoying each other..loving one another.. bonding ,laughing, and playing…
Blessing’s
Ann
My word is Believe – a reminder to always believe in myself mainly, but also my family and others
Cindy
I have seen this everywhere!! And I was inspired to think of mine as well.
“Balance”
It has been a crazy year, and I think somewhere along the way I lost track of the balance my family needs to thrive. So this year I am concentrating on that one word.
I wrote a post to help me in the pursuit:
