I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.”
So for today’s Talk To Me Tuesday I’d like to challenge you to pick a word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2010?
To encourage everyone to pick their word, I’m giving away prizes!! Three lucky winners will have their Word of the Year customized to one of these fabulous necklaces.
1. RHB Designs
3. Frostings
Simply leave your Word of the Year in the comments.
Feel free to leave your post link or video, if you’ve created one.  Contest ends Jan. 11th.

PATIENCE ~ This year I’m going to focus on being patient. We aren’t promised tomorrow and if we spend our TODAYS on TOMORROW’s troubles we will be left with a lot of regret and unhappiness. Here’s to a wonderful new year and a blessed 2010! 🙂
I resolved at the end of 2009 to choose a word for 2010. The word I will focus and concentrate my efforts around is “DO”. I don’t know where it will lead, but I feel strengthened as I take this step to commit myself to the process of DOing. This year I want to DO those activities that will bring me closer to my God, to my spouse, to my children. I want to be a DOer of good deeds. I want to DO those things necessary to feed my soul, develop my talents, strengthen my body, and improve my mind. I want to stop being afraid of failure and DO that which is necessary and essential to achieve and realize my potential.
