I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.”
So for today’s Talk To Me Tuesday I’d like to challenge you to pick a word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2010?
To encourage everyone to pick their word, I’m giving away prizes!! Three lucky winners will have their Word of the Year customized to one of these fabulous necklaces.
1. RHB Designs
3. Frostings
Simply leave your Word of the Year in the comments.
Feel free to leave your post link or video, if you’ve created one.  Contest ends Jan. 11th.
“everlasting”. Thats my word for 2010. My son is serving in Afghanistan and this word describes our family–“everlasting”- even with him away. “everlasting”–our faith– that is so important. “everlasting”– our impact on the planet. “everlasting”– my husbands and my love–31 years strong!! The perfect word for the perfect year–EVERLASTING!
My word of the year would be “hopeful”.
I’ve learned that if I continue to have hope, that I can get through just about anything. <3
“Smile”…..sometimes it’s very hard to do!
For me the word of the year is ‘Sacrifice’. Sacrifice for your loved ones. Letting your loved one go away for their future… is the sacrifice.
My word of 2009 is “Blessings”.
My mom passed away this year of gastric cancer, and through it all she kept telling us to look around for the blessings God was giving us through it all.
