5 Steps to a Masterbath Oasis
I adore a good long bath in a bathroom oasis that has an element that heightens all 5 of my senses. I want to see, hear, feel, and smell relaxed. Then I want to taste something yummy. {{wink}} Since my bathroom was rockin’ the 90’s, I had quite a bit of work to do before I could focus on the 5 senses to create a masterbath oasis.
1. Update Your Hardware ~ $12
Sight. When it comes to updating the look of your bathroom into this decade or freshening it up a bit ~ start with the hardware. There’s no need to buy new ones. I spray painted all the two-toned metallic fixtures {d’oh}in my master bathroom black. The gold shower doors were driving me nutty so I also gave new life by spray painting them black.
2. Add Affirmations ~ $16
Feel. An oasis is a place for positive mediation and feeling good about yourself. Display words or phrases that have special meaning to you. These affirmations double as decor in a frame or hung on the wall.
3. Create a Cozy Atmosphere ~ $52
Touch. The easiest way to warm up a room and make it feel cozy, is to add decorations which are or once were alive, grown, or in nature. For instance, plants and greenery, pictures of animals or figurines, rocks, fabrics, and textiles.
4. Splurge with Lux Items ~ $13
Creating your own Spa Station is so easy. Fill up a beautiful container with Epson salt to soothe your muscles and relieve tension. Place a few things in a basket like bubble bath and other fun products like bath bombs and moisturizing pearls. Don’t forget tools like a pumice stone and back massaging brush, a necessity for every good bathroom oasis.
Taste. When I truly have time to relax in my bathroom oasis I bring in the chocolate, baby. {{knuckle bumps}}
Sound. When I am in my oasis, the only thing I want to hear is the water running in my bathtub or shower or silence. If I don’t have time to take a bath, I’ve also added some luxury to my shower.
Smell is probably the easiest element. Candles in one’s favorite scent brings in a lovely scent as well as adding soft lighting which is just lovely.
For a touch of LUX, I went with the Waterpik RainFall+™ Rain Shower Head (only $39.99) so that I would have a choice of 7 spray settings. Especially because sometimes I have water pressure issues and the Waterpik RainFall+™ adds 30% more water strength. {Very important to me!}
5. Add Mood Lighting ~ $7
Dim the lights for an ambiance that is calm and soothing. Accomplish this by installing a dimmer switch, lanterns, or lamps. However, the easiest and cheapest way is by adding a few candles around your bathroom.
$10 Rebate on Shower Head
I can’t think of a nicer Mother’s Day gift than having one’s own Bathroom Oasis! {{wink}} You can purchase a Waterpik RainFall+™ Rain Shower Head now (7 spray settings, y’all) and even get a $10 rebate! It’s always nice to have a shower head with a range of showering sensations, like invigorating to start the day and pulsating massage to end the day. Plus, since they a limited lifetime warranty, you don’t have to worry about quality. {{score}}
