Today I’m showcasing my favorite DIY decor tutorial that I’ve done all year. It’s a broken jewelry letter craft that I made for Charming Charlie (an accessory store).
This was really the coolest opportunity as I’m a huge fan of Charming Charlie. For me, they are the go-to-place for inexpensive accessories. Since I have all boys, the only person I have to dress up is myself! {{sad but true}} Since the Charming Charlie store organizes their accessories by color – it’s the easiest place for me to buy my accessories.
Watch my video for all the details on how to use broken jewelry to embellish this wood letter.

As featured on CharmingCharlie.com – This DIY decor project gives you an opportunity to use your outdated jewelry, non-functional jewelry, sentimental jewelry, jewelry you received as a gift (but would not wear), and other jewelry odds and ends.
Craft ~ Broken Jewelry Letter
For the complete tutorial on how to make this gorgeous blinged out monogram you can watch my video or head on over to the Charming Charlie blog with all the specifics.

You’ll need a letter of any size, a lot of jewelry, tin snips, and a hot glue gun. It took me 5 hours to make the first one (silver) but only 2 hours to make the second one (gold). Once you get all the jewelry cut up and figure out the design, it’s incredibly easy and zero crafting skills are required. {{wink}} Simply cut up the jewelry with the tin snips and hot glue onto the letter. That’s it!
You can hang it directly onto any wall or frame it like I did with the silver one. You can also go as elaborate or as simple as you’d like and use any size letter. This would make a gorgeous homemade gift idea. Keep it in mind for birthday presents this next year.

I would like the letter K or J because both my husband and I have the same initials (KMJ) and I think that hanging that on our living room wall would be a nice decorative piece to have, especially since it would not be geared towards either one of us specifically
This would be really cute to put in my bedroom! Please make me a letter L 🙂
Thanks,
Leigh Anne Lawrence
Love the fun initial theme! My first and last name begin with R and I could use it in any room of the house, since all 4 of us have R in our name.
Thx for being fun and innovative! 🙂
I absolutely love Iove love this necklace picture! I have told everyone I know about this unique piece you are giving away but hopefully it doesn’t ruin my chances lol. I would like a letter W for Whitney to put in my bedroom. I this this eclectic piece would be a perfect addition to my feminine room. Thank you, and good luck to me! Whitney mattingly
The idea is amazing! Very unique. I would love to hang my initial in the living room or foyer. My initial is C – just like Charming Charlie! = ]
