Today I’m showcasing my favorite DIY decor tutorial that I’ve done all year. It’s a broken jewelry letter craft that I made for Charming Charlie (an accessory store).
This was really the coolest opportunity as I’m a huge fan of Charming Charlie. For me, they are the go-to-place for inexpensive accessories. Since I have all boys, the only person I have to dress up is myself! {{sad but true}} Since the Charming Charlie store organizes their accessories by color – it’s the easiest place for me to buy my accessories.
Watch my video for all the details on how to use broken jewelry to embellish this wood letter.

As featured on CharmingCharlie.com – This DIY decor project gives you an opportunity to use your outdated jewelry, non-functional jewelry, sentimental jewelry, jewelry you received as a gift (but would not wear), and other jewelry odds and ends.
Craft ~ Broken Jewelry Letter
For the complete tutorial on how to make this gorgeous blinged out monogram you can watch my video or head on over to the Charming Charlie blog with all the specifics.

You’ll need a letter of any size, a lot of jewelry, tin snips, and a hot glue gun. It took me 5 hours to make the first one (silver) but only 2 hours to make the second one (gold). Once you get all the jewelry cut up and figure out the design, it’s incredibly easy and zero crafting skills are required. {{wink}} Simply cut up the jewelry with the tin snips and hot glue onto the letter. That’s it!
You can hang it directly onto any wall or frame it like I did with the silver one. You can also go as elaborate or as simple as you’d like and use any size letter. This would make a gorgeous homemade gift idea. Keep it in mind for birthday presents this next year.

I love the letter “J”, which is not only for my first name but the name Jesus. Jane means “God has favored”, just as he favored Jesus. I feel I have been truly blessed. I will hang it on my wall in the living room where my other religious items are and my favorite picture of Jesus.
I would be honored to display the letter S in our home. We just had our one year anniversary and are working really hard to blend our family of seven! 🙂 Your beautiful artwork would be a happy and bright addition to our home and a great reminder of the unity we are forming. What an awesome gift God has given you! Your work is beautiful and truly a great and unique art form!
I would love to get the letter J (my last name). I am the only girl in my house (I have 4 sons), and am constantly looking for some interesting girly touches for my home.
I would love to have a letter K – for our last name. And I’d hang it near our family photos – to show our family pride.
I would love to get the letter C for my daughter as that is the first letter of our last name. She did not get a copy of the family crest like her brother did so I thought this might help ease her disappointment and I think your broken jewelry letters are cool.
Thank You & Happy New Year
