Today I’m showcasing my favorite DIY decor tutorial that I’ve done all year. It’s a broken jewelry letter craft that I made for Charming Charlie (an accessory store).
This was really the coolest opportunity as I’m a huge fan of Charming Charlie. For me, they are the go-to-place for inexpensive accessories. Since I have all boys, the only person I have to dress up is myself! {{sad but true}} Since the Charming Charlie store organizes their accessories by color – it’s the easiest place for me to buy my accessories.
Watch my video for all the details on how to use broken jewelry to embellish this wood letter.

As featured on CharmingCharlie.com – This DIY decor project gives you an opportunity to use your outdated jewelry, non-functional jewelry, sentimental jewelry, jewelry you received as a gift (but would not wear), and other jewelry odds and ends.
Craft ~ Broken Jewelry Letter
For the complete tutorial on how to make this gorgeous blinged out monogram you can watch my video or head on over to the Charming Charlie blog with all the specifics.

You’ll need a letter of any size, a lot of jewelry, tin snips, and a hot glue gun. It took me 5 hours to make the first one (silver) but only 2 hours to make the second one (gold). Once you get all the jewelry cut up and figure out the design, it’s incredibly easy and zero crafting skills are required. {{wink}} Simply cut up the jewelry with the tin snips and hot glue onto the letter. That’s it!
You can hang it directly onto any wall or frame it like I did with the silver one. You can also go as elaborate or as simple as you’d like and use any size letter. This would make a gorgeous homemade gift idea. Keep it in mind for birthday presents this next year.

The letter “P” right in the middle of the family photos would be delightful. Thanks for the chance!
Hi! I would love the letter “S” for my last name and it will also be for my soon to be last name as well, Shaw. I am getting married at the end of April to my high school sweetheart who is in the military and stationed in VA. Once we’re married I will be moving to VA with him. We’re getting an apartment together and this would be a great piece to have to decorate our “home” as a new family! Thanks!
I’d love to get an “M”. I’m a huge fan of Charming Charlie. I love this idea of a way to recycle broken jewelry.
As a senior who has traveled the world, I have colleced masques and objets d’art from every country visited , and seen unique unusual and beautiful places and things. Having my first initial “B” hanging on my living room wall, visible upon immediate entrance to my house and home, especially since it would be a special representation of me would make me just as memorable as my travels.
I would love my first initial “D”. My first name is Deborah, with variations of Debbie, Deb, Dee, and just D. This letter work of art would be hung over the fireplace because : It is a source of warmth; and, Everyone who enters my house can see straight back to the fireplace and see the fabulous unique just like me letter” D”
